kde-baseapps-bin software package provides core binaries for the KDE base applications, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install kde-baseapps-bin
kde-baseapps-bin is installed in your system.
Make ensure the kde-baseapps-bin package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep kde-baseapps-bin *
You will get with kde-baseapps-bin package name, version, architecture and description in a table
